Chiify Pay fees explained: what you pay to receive, convert, and withdraw

African freelancers do not need a surprise FX bill at the end of the month. Chiify Pay prices the moves you actually make—deposit USD, convert, withdraw Naira or USDC—and shows Fee, Rate, and expected receive in the app before you confirm. This page is the plain-language fee sheet; the live quote in Convert or Withdraw always wins on the day you move money.

Who pays what (the short version)

You pay when money moves—not for staring at a dashboard. Core pricing is usage-based around deposits, converts, and withdrawals.

  • Deposit (ACH-style): flat $2 default
  • Convert: 0.27% with $0.25 min / $2.70 max
  • Withdraw Naira: 1% default
  • Withdraw USDC: 1% default
  • Always confirm the live quote before you continue

Deposit fee (USD into Chiify Pay)

When eligible USD arrives through ACH-style virtual account rails, Chiify Pay applies a flat deposit fee (default $2) so your available balance is gross deposit minus that fee.

  • Default deposit fee: $2 flat
  • Fee cannot exceed the deposit amount
  • Pending ≠ available
  • Send test amounts when the platform allows it

Convert fee (USD ↔ USDC ↔ NGN)

Convert is where you change balances inside Chiify Pay. The convert fee is 0.27%, with a floor of $0.25 and a ceiling of $2.70, calculated on the source amount.

  • Convert fee: 0.27%
  • Minimum convert fee: $0.25
  • Maximum convert fee: $2.70
  • Quote shows Fee + Rate + expected receive

Withdraw fee (Naira bank or USDC wallet)

Withdrawals move value out of Chiify Pay. Naira withdrawals to a Nigerian bank in your name and USDC withdrawals to an external wallet both default to a 1% withdraw fee—confirm the live quote each time.

  • Naira withdraw: 1% default
  • USDC withdraw: 1% default
  • 2FA required
  • Bank account must be in your name for Naira

Always see the quote first

Marketing copy is orientation. The Convert and Withdraw screens are the contract for that transfer.

How to plan monthly cash-flow with these fees

Freelancers who win on Chiify Pay treat fees as a line in a monthly SOP—not a surprise.

  • Test small once → automate the habit
  • Quote in-app every time
  • USD buffer for tools
  • Local withdraw on a fixed weekday

Frequently asked questions

Is there a monthly account fee?

Core pricing is usage-based around deposits, converts, and withdrawals. Confirm any account-level line items in the app if shown for your profile—do not assume a silent monthly charge from this marketing page.

Why is the bank amount less than my USD balance?

Deposit fee (if it applied inbound), convert fee, FX rate, a small FX cushion on NGN, and the withdraw fee can all apply depending on the path. The app lists the lines before you continue.

What is the convert fee exactly?

0.27% of the source amount, with a $0.25 minimum and $2.70 maximum. Example: $50 → $0.25 min; $200 → $0.54; large amounts can hit the $2.70 cap.

What is the withdraw fee?

Naira and USDC withdrawals default to 1%. Completing authenticator (2FA) is required. Always confirm the live Withdraw quote.

Is the deposit fee always $2?

The default ACH-style deposit fee is a flat $2. Your ledger line in the app is authoritative for that deposit.

Do you charge for USDC and USDT the same way?

Customer product language is USDC. Follow the asset and network shown in the Chiify Pay withdraw flow.

Where do I see live USD to Naira rates?

Use Convert in the Chiify Pay app, or open rates from the dashboard when signed in. chiifypay.com explains fees; the app prices the transfer.

Can I see fees before I create an account?

This page publishes the default schedule. Exact quotes for your transfer—including rate—appear in Convert/Withdraw after you are verified and funded.

Are platform fees included?

No. Upwork, Fiverr, YouTube/AdSense, and other platforms charge their own fees before or while paying out. Chiify Pay fees apply to moves inside Chiify Pay.

What if a transfer fails after I paid a fee?

Open the transaction in-app, keep the reference, and contact support with amount, time, and IDs. Do not create duplicate transfers while one is still processing.
